I have been quiet for the past several weeks.  It is time to reveal what is in the PPACA as the only part of the bill dealing with doctor patient relations.  It concerns the end of life activities and the recent requirement that all doctors submit to the use of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and the consequences for both providers as well as consumers (patients). 

Page 141, Section 1533 deals with "End of Life" Treatment.  It states individuals or institutions refusing to participate in "assisted suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing" may not be discriminated against by government, entities receiving federal financial assistance under this Act, or health plans created under this Act. The authors of the law created this disclaimer as a hedge against the criticisms begun by Sarah Palin.  This gives the bill "credence" when people talk about death panels.  As sure as I am writing this, I can assure you this bill has bad intentions for the American people.  Reading on in the section, the following "activities" do not bear this protection.  This protection however, explicitly does not apply to or affect "any limitation relating to -- (1) the withholding or withdrawing of medical treatment or medical care; (2) the withholding or withdrawing of nutrition or hydration; (3) abortion; or (4) the use of any item for the purpose of alleviating pain even if such use may increase the risk of death as long as such an item is not furnished with the purpose of causing, or the purpose of assisting in causing, death for any reason." 

Cleverly, the law creates a diversion by claiming no physician or health care entity cannot be pursued, punished or prosecuted for refusing to participate in medical killing. This can only have one meaning -- that somewhere, they are expecting some physicians to participate in "end of life activities" through some form of medical killing. What the passage reflects is that the law offers some kind of protection for providers against persecution or prosecution for refusing to participate in medical killings.  However, what is euthanasia, mercy killings or assisted suicide other than the withdrawal or withholding of medications or medical treatments; the withholding or withdrawal of fluids or nutrition; abortion; overmedication or this passage that a doctor might refuse to give a treatment to "relieve pain" with some agent that in and of itself can cause death of the patient, so long as the agent was not given to cause the death?  Reading in between the lines, the doctor only needs to place a notation in the medical record that the medication was given to relieve pain and if it results in the death of the patient, then the doctor is off the hook from the courts. This act is clearly against the Hippocratic Oath and actually represents the definition of murder with malice of forethought. 

My God! What has happened to our country? What kind of person could conceive of such an act?  The Representatives and Senators that voted for this act as well as the President that signed it had better have a good excuse for their motives, because it is certainly clear in my mind what are their intentions.  They have promised to save billions and trillions of dollars in the next ten years, and it appears the spearhead of this is the systematic elimination of American citizens when they are at their weakest, being infirm or injured. There is a passage in the PPACA that states that "not knowing" cannot be used as a defense. 

May I state that Senator Sherrod Brown, the senior Senator from Ohio proudly cast his vote to initiate systematic killing of Ohioans and he cannot use the defense of "I did not know."  Then he assured us of his intentions by being one of the Senators that successfully prevented the repeal of the bill by voting against the repeal. Mr. Brown has a lot of explaining to do for the citizens of Ohio.

The next section will deal with the intimidation of doctors to do their bidding.  It will tie the entire program of medical killing together as you can read how they will force doctors to participate.
