The tax that represents the worst of American life is the Estate Tax. I believe everyone in the country realizes that taxes are necessary, but this tax is not. The hallmark of the “American Dream” is taking advantage of America’s great bounty and seeking a better living for one’s family. In the course of that action, the income and personal treasure that one accumulates during life has already been taxed many times over.  

As your Republican Candidate for the United States Senate, I will pledge my every effort to end this insult from our government once and for all. I will add this to my overall tax elimination plan.  The only tax we need is a consumption tax at the cash register. The IRS has to go, all business taxes have to go, any other tax must be eliminated. The estate tax elimination will free every American family from the intrusion of the federal government from our lives and our heirs.  If Congress wants to stop taxing these assets over and over again, then the estate tax might make some sense.  They will not stop, so we should not give in.  

As your Republican Senator, I pledge to fight to remove this tax forever. There is no bargaining with respect to this tax.  It comes off,  period. If change is going to occur, let it begin in Ohio!
